Ideas needed for what to do with this material

I've just got 1 fat quarter of it and would like an idea for something useful to do with it. I have some sewing experience and a sewing machine but I am definitely not an expert!

Oh it's lovely. I am a very (VERY) basic stitcher... I think a fat quarter is small ish isn't it? Could you make a little drawstring bag (I have some that are really useful for grouping small things when we travel). Or a make up bag... or you could make a big calico washing bag (again I'm thinking for travel) and use this to applique 'washing' on it.

Thanks for ideas and links. I did think of a peg bag but I don't have a washing line so no pegs! I like the idea of appliqué on something as it is quite a small bit on it's own.

I will post a pic when I'm done but I do tend to get all excited about the thought of starting something new but not very good at actually starting!
