I would love to stitch a tapestry from a photograph of my Dils beloved dog for Christmas . Am good with tapestry work but wonder if any of you know of a firm that you would recommend ? Googled and not sure which one to go with who will transcribe pic to chart with wools.
Anyone who helped on my last thread re crochet ....am loving doing attic24 jolly bag ....got the rhythm now thank goodness . Twisted wool and cries of despair are in the past ..for now .

I made a cross stitch of our first house together as a wedding present for DH. I think I bought it in C&H Fabrics and paid about £10 for it. MIL paid for most of the threads for me. IIRC I have seen them in random shops since, mine was done in 1999, and maybe even larger WHSmiths. What about Hobbycraft?

Thanks Itsfab . Hope you have your cross stitch hanging in your house with all your memories attached. Will ask in Hobbycraft .

Funnily enough we weren't particularly happy at the house towards the end but it was where we got engaged and married, and later had our first baby, so when we were getting married it seemed the right subject matter.
