Its so pretty! I have just succumbed to some cheapie washi tape in Wilko just because it was too pretty to leave in the shop, but what can I do with it?

Look on Pinterest and do a washi search - there are literally millions of projects Smile

I haven't done washi yet as I'm currently obsessed with Pyrography cheeseboards but it's on my list

dd uses his at scrapbook club at school. you an mire the edges and make a frame for a picture, dd does this in a scrapbook, but no reason why you couldn't then place it in a frame.

also stick down strips next to each other and then cut out shapes so the shape is patterned with stripes of the tape. does that make sense?

or like I do use it to wrap presents, use plain tissue or brown paper and use the washi tape as sticky tape.

I'm sure people will come along with much more inventive ideas soon.

what is it? Ive seen lots of projects online but never seen the tape anywhere for sale.

(grabs coat!)

Now I need to know what pyrography cheeseboards are! I'll have to get on to pinterest.

My cheeseboard. Folk on Mumsnet have been giving me sayings for cheeseboards. I'm currently working on a beautiful 300 year old bit of oak for a friend.

that's great! How did you do it?

LaurieFairyCake · 21/05/2014 14:21

It's a Pyrography tool - basically a soldering iron with different 'ends' for writing. Because it's burned in, it's permanent. You can draw with it (I'm not fab at drawing but I've done an owl on a spoon and a simple butterfly)

I ripped it off a Mother's Day card because I didn't realise it was decorative rather than functional Shock

I love that cheese board! Grin

I put a line of washi tape down the sides of my cupboard doors, you can only see it when it's opened but I couldn't think of what else to do with it at the moment and it was pretty!
