Another Attic24 granny stripe query -sorry, I know I'm a PITA!

I have managed to do my sample square and sort out the uneven edge probs with your kind help, and have taken the plunge and done the first 2 rows (eek!).

It looks ok, but I'm rubbish at maths and not sure how to work out if I have the right number of treble chrochet clusters . I cast on 90sts, and now have 28 tr clusters and a 2 tr either end. In the sample pattern lucy cast on 21 and had 5 tr clusters with 2 tr either end. Please tell me it's going to be okay [hides behind sofa too scared to look].

I've tried to work it out but have used up all my brain cells trying to pay attention to the foundation chain and 2nd row!

The pattern calls for a multiple of 3 stitches for the foundation chain - so you have cracked that by chaining 90.

When you say you have done the first row do you mean the foundation row and the first row of treble clusters? Or do you mean the foundation row and two rows of treble clusters?

Either way you have got the right number of chains at the beginning and if you haven't had to squeeze in an extra stitch on your treble cluster rows then it sounds like you have cracked it. Relax

Crochet in reasonably straight lines is quite forgiving. As long as you keep your 2trs at the end of the rows and count the number of clusters in each row for a few rows then you will be fine. Any minor imperfections will be covered up by your edging rows.

I did the foundation row and ended up with the right count, and the subsequent row of tr clusters . It was a struggle to get into the very Last st on the row but I did it and I think it looks ok. I've checked I've skipped 2sts between each cluster and that each third st has a cluster of 3 tr in it , but didn't want to whoop it up until sure the count was right.
