U should be biting their hand off, shouldn't I?

It's a Record model, whatever that means... The only thing I can't work out is whether you can lower the feed dogs for quilting...

If it's a gift, yes, bite their hand off! I was Shock when I innocently thought, 'I'd love a Bernina, I'll look on ebay'. The prices!

Only thing next is - what to sew? I've got a homewares book (french vintage something) but some simple clothes would be nice too.

You definitely should! I sew with my mother's first one and at forty one years old it is fabulous. I have her second, 24 year old one too but haven't been brave enough to swap from the only machine I've ever used!

Yoga skirts are pretty easy, there are tons of free online tutorials if you Google or Pinterest.
