Hi there, what kind of tape do you use for sticking 'stuff' together when junk modeling?

hi, I do a fair bit of papier mache. I use masking tape for the armature, as stuff sticks to it better than the more plasticity tapes.

What kind of thing are you making Numpty?

Polter - I got a glue gun from Aldi, it was abysmal.

Masking tape ideally
Regular sticky tape if DS gets his way.
Liberal amounts of pva glue!

But then for DS it's the process as much as the result and so longevity of adhesive medium is a lower priority than simply what is first to hand.

Masking tape is good for children as they can tear it themselves.

Thanks all. Sounds like masking tape will do the trick. Are glue guns expensive?

We're making a fictitious animal Fourforks!

sounds great Smile post a pic when you're done, would love to see it.

masking tape is great as it takes other stuff on top, paint, pva glue etc.

Sorry, that was perhaps unclear.....

My first child has just started school, and has been asked to do this little project.

As opposed to;

While my first child is at school today, I'll be passing the time doing a bit of junk modeling door my own pleasure....
