Has anyone ever dyed shoes?

'Cos I'm about to start dying the shoes for my wedding, and I could do with some hints and tips. Was it easy, and did you get a good finish? I'm going to use dylon satin shoe dye, but when I tested it, it seemed really pale. Any experience?

i had some gorgeous white shoes but they were a bit discoloured so i bought a white dye. do a coat carefully leave to dry then do a second wiping off overspills. itl be ok for your wedding but in time it may start cracking.
