Where can you buy piping?

Help. I want to make the skirt in the recent sewing bee Telegraph supplement, and it needs piping. Hadn't realised that this is an endangered item, until I started searching for it. Am I being clueless? I search on all my usual sites, and I can buy six different piping 'feet' for a sewing machine, but almost no piping itself. Any ideas?
I'm v new to this, so I'm probably being daft ...
Thank you.

I think you make piping my folding the fabric over a cord. Maybe you could use thin coloured cord?

Dunelm

Have a look on the Coletterie website for tutorials on how to make piping - and how to make your own bias tape to make the piping - so you can get it exactly the way you want it.

eBay can be quite useful - I did a quick search and there's some in there.

Hi, try frumble.co.uk - look at edging cord in the haberdashery section
