Any beaders out there?

I've started making my own bracelets and want to sell them as I've had loads of compliments . I'm using quite large beads and have been threading on leather because it is thick and strong but I've noticed after wearing them a bit it is stretching. Has anyone got any other suggestions for what to thread on that isn't going to be too thin. Thanks!

Try conditioning leather thread with beeswax or a bit of saddle soap. Remember that a little goes a long way though...

What will conditioning it do?! Will it stop it stretching?

Probably not so much stretching but will help to prevent cracks in the leather which would make your item unsellable...

also by manipulating thread with wax you will probably help it to stretch to its limit...

there are lots of different things you can use: rat tail, organza ribbon, wire mesh ribbon or a thicker beading thread. take a look at this site. hth

Thanks, that's a good site! Have you use tigertail? I actually have some of that. Do you think it would be suitable for a bracelet? I have crimps to finish it off. Ooooooooooh, so many questions!
