Learning to sew

I have just finished my first ever sewing project - a circle skirt for a fancy dress party. This has given me the sewing bug and now I want to learn how to sew.

Where is the best place to start? Sewing classes, a book?

Ooh great idea, Turnip! Yes I have a dss who is quite crafty, a ds who loves fancy dress and a baby dd so that's a really good plan, thank you. Smile

Saga I was in JL in Kingston today and they still had the discounted colour-way on sale (£35 now; guess they'd ordered in bulk ...). In case that helps!

Wow! I don't see the discount online but I might convince DH to run us over to the nearest JL in the morning and have a look. Cheers!
