Has anyone tried one?

Seriously considering buying one, need to bulk make cardds for Christmas fayre (Me! having the confidence! Gulp!)

NOT getting a Sissix after last time!

Can see one for £75 inclusive of an alphabet, tho don't know if offer still available when grant comes in!

The dies seem really nice also?

Never tried one but agree the dies are great !

Why don't you get a Big shot. they're about £75

the new squeeze models are meant to be much better than the older model. I was tempted to get a pink one, saw a deal for one with an alpha.

The only thing is that you're limited to using small sized dies in them.

what happened with the sizzix? my minds gone blank, did you have a horrid experience?

Thing is Pixie, if I buy a big shot that's it for dies- I have a max of £100, you don't geta lot for that, whilst this (new model) comes with an alphabet.

The Sissix roller (sidekick) just imploded, jammed and took the die with it. But have relaised I won't be using the big dies much- I like scrapbooking (considering setting up a scrapbooking challenge on MN after the summer to get back into it?), but it's carmaking I do a lot of.

I remember the trouble you had with the sidekick now. I have the BS and also the Tagalong which is silimal to the sidekick but has metal rollers rather than plastic. I bought mine for about £25- lots of places have offers on them.

Have seen the QC in use and it looks simple enough. You slot the die in and then the card and cut. The only downside is that you have to use a certain sized card so from discussions I've seen on UKS there is a little more waste than with the Sizzix family
