Craft ideas for children - suggestions required please

For the first time in ages I am stuck for an idea for my playgroup.

The theme is the parable of the lost sheep. Today we made sheep. I can't think of how I can expand on this theme for next week. Any ideas?

I did think I would move on to the next theme but I like to spend at least two weeks on each theme so that they can get the most out of it.

Make grass to feed to the sheep?

Mary had a little lamb story?

Make the shepherd? Dress up and and act out the story? Research the landscape - not the green fields of England! Assuming you are UK based.

Have you tried pinterest omg I'm addicted. Craft heaven...

I like the idea of making the shepherd. It is not something that we have done yet.

How would you make grass out of interest?

I tried pinterest and all of it was variations on making sheep. I like the two ideas proposed. Maybe if we make the grass we could add flowers and trees. Now the creative juices are flowing.
