Circle skirt?

I've found some fabric that I'd love to make into a circle skirt. The problem I'm having, is knowing how much to order. All the tutorials online seem to teach you how to make one without measuring, which is nice but doesn't help buy the fabric!

Any idea how much I'd need for a 10/12 knee length skirt?

I have just made one and worked out material I needed using basic circle maths (I am an engineer so love maths). Waist measurement gives circumference of inner circle use this to calculate the radius and diameter. Then measure out your length. Add this length onto your radius to get the material needed for half the skirt and double it.

Not sure that makes much sense but plenty of instructions on google. Good luck

What jellycurls said Grin. Get a piece of paper and work out what the dimensions of your.circle are, then depending on the width of the material you can work out if it is a single piece or will need a seam. That in turn will give you the length you need.
