Just been sitting in a coffee shop waiting for DH to have his hair cut, and was knitting away, when a lady sat on a nearby table asked what I was knitting. We got into a little conversation about knitting baby items and Knit Pro needles and it was just lovely to connect with someone like that as I'm naturally a very shy person.
I don't know what my purpose is in posting this, just wanted to gush about how nice it made me feel! I really need to get out more find a local knitting group Grin this is the first time I've posted in this topic, though I should probably try to be more visible! I'd like to try to take part in the Woolly Hugs projects this year.
Happy crafty Sunday everyone!

I have been utterly rubbish at knitting over the last year. Kept it up while DS was tiny but fell by the wayside when I went back to work. Much better than being glued to my phone - you've inspired me to dig out my half-finished project!

Glad you found a kindred spirit, leezl.

If you are on FB there is a MN Yarnaholics group where people like us, with a love all things woolly, are 'meeting up', in the virtual not RL sense of course, to talk knitting and crochet. You are very welcome to join in. It is a closed group (which is just as well when you see some of the stash photos Grin) but if you like I can probably get you an invite to join in. You would be very welcome.

Apologies if either of you are already members - it is virtually impossible to match up the MN with the FB names. Grin
