Mini chest of drawers

It's untreated birch plywood, so it needs...something . I might store some of DS's craft bits in it.

I've painted many of these using tester pots of Matt emulsion :)

Do they still come flat packed? I painted one for DD where every drawer had a different colour on each of the 4 sides. Easy to do when flat packed, trickier if they come ready built now.

That's a good idea Soup. For some reason I'd like to be able to see the wood through the paint, is that possible?

Yacht varnish (matte) applied in thin layers and sanded down. You could add little details to the fronts - those pretty transfer scrolls would be great; something with fine detail, and contrast with chunky beads, shells, rounded seaglass etc stuck on.
