Crafters - can I pick your brains?

I currently sell crafting items on ebay, from little things such as seam rippers, up to bigger items such as sewing baskets. I sell mostly tools and accessories rather than fabrics, wool etc.

I am thinking about selling on Amazon, so can I ask which one you go to in preference?

Thanks in advance

amazon, i find ebays quality is sometimes lacking (not sure why as im aware a lot of people trade on both!) but id automatically amazon search.. hth!

Amazon.

I have both bought and sold on Ebay and have become more and more disheartened with both their attitude to sellers and their high costs. I have also found more and more, in recent times, an increase in sellers who really don't care if they mis-sell. I steer clear of Ebay nowadays.

I would buy from Amazon before I'd buy from ebay.

AndiMac · 20/01/2014 18:33

I'd buy from whomever was cheaper. Delivery is usually faster on eBay.

I used to get a lot of craft things from ebay but since Amazon have expanded I tend to go there. I don't think they are quite as good for crafts yet but they are getting there. I still go to eBay but less nowadays. I used to buy and sell a lot now I am there about 6 times a year.

I'd go to Amazon simply because I don't have a PayPal account, so I can pay by debit card.

Usually Ebsy - but it is kind of like a default setting with me. I might give Amazon a go though.

At least with Ebay you get to see if the item you want is available second hand and cheaper.

whatdoesittake48 · 21/01/2014 17:25

Ebay not Ebsy...

BigBoobiedBertha · 21/01/2014 18:46

whatdoesittake - very often they have second hand on Amazon too. They list all the sellers who are selling the same thing new or used - you can take your pick.

Usually Ebay as I find it easier to search in the craft stuff than Amazon.
