Which type of cotton fabric for a duvet casing?

I'm never sure what all the weaves and weights are called, can someone help? I am making an actual duvet (not a duvet cover) and am not sure what to use for the casing. Any ideas? I thought cambric, but maybe that's too weighty? Percale?

What type of filling are you using?

I made a new covering last year using a decent cotton curtain-lining in off-white, a bit heavier than original but turned out very well.

If you're making a duvet, you'll need down-proof cambric for the casing.

Also, you'll need to make walls for the channels, otherwise, if you just sew the top and bottom in long seams to make the channels you'll have cold spots alongside where the stitching it.
