I need ideas for homemade ceiling decorations

We're having a rather homemade theme to this years decorating, I've cracked everything else but can't think of anything to hang from the ceiling, any ideas?

Thank you, I've had the kids making paper chains all afternoon, I have snowflakes all over the windows and pinned on the door curtain :) it looks fab!

The big paper pom poms are gorgeous, but there are no instructions

It looks beautiful, but it is an utter bastard to get it all down.
