How hard?

I've finally managed a granny square! I'd love to crochet a blanket and I love the ripple one on attic 24 but .........

Really easy once you get into the swing of it. Maybe practice with a few repeats before starting that epic foundation chain? I did a cushion, and love the effect.

Oh I was going to practise!! Was looking in my mini stash today to see what I could try it out on!

Think I need to be good before I order a shed load of wool!

It's the first thing I really crocheted other than a few random granny squares. I learnt to crochet in the Easter holidays, finished the ripple blanket by mid July. I've also made her summer granny blanket .

You don't need to be brilliant. I did a practice strip first to get the pattern. The first proper row was tricky but her pictures are great.

I bought drops merino wool from wool warehouse which was lovely and delivered amazingly quickly. The granny I did in stylecraft from the same site. Both yarns were good value.

The Crochet Crowd You Tube tutorial for the Wave pattern is brilliant for learning the Ripple.

I've got a massive double bed sized one I made and it rooks about 18 months but was really simple.
