I'd like to make this

Can anyone tell me what size needles and yarn to use?
This seems to be American and I'm not sure what the uk equivalent is
Thanks very much

It says any yarn or needles. so pick a yarn you like, read the needle size of the ball band. cast on until it is required width bearing in mind it Will get a little wider once it relaxes when cast on edge comes off the needles- if that seems too random, knit a tension square and work out the size from that.

I would recommend using chunky or super chunky for that.

The instruction say you can use any combination of yarn and needles and as MrsMink says as long as you work to the needles for the weight of yarn you choose then you will be ok.

The scarf on Ravelry uses Worsted weight which as far as I know has no true UK equivalent, although Aran is pretty close. If you use Aran then you would be working on 5.5mm or 6mm needles.

It looks lovely Smile

Thank you both very much. I'm off to buy some yarn tomorrow, so will try and find a nice Aran. It's good to know what to look for as this is all very new to me!
