am doing a VW camper van and a hairy spider (2 different ones) for a couple of kids' birthdays

quite scary doing it for money rather than school fair though

they machine wash at 40 (don't know if higher, haven't tried) .. over time (about a year) they start to fade slightly .. but not so's you'd notice

am liking your thinking by the way lionheart .. (though I'd be happy with enough money to pay off our overdraft really)

Have to start somewhere. Look at Anita.

Still, do you think you could make one for me after the others are done?

(Well, not me exactly 'cos that would take a bucketload of paint, but my DS).

Whizzz · 28/06/2006 13:54

Well done Twig - they are brilliant !

Twiglett · 28/06/2006 15:26

hee hee..

OK If anyone really wants to commission a t-shirt as a gift, I'm going to charge £9.99 each but that will include postage and packing

email me on HandpaintedTshirt (at) yahoo.co.uk

(using an @ and removing the spaces of course)

Twiglett, not sure if you've got your hairy spider pics yet but I remembered a great one from our library here and in the process of looking for it found another one here

  • I often use amazon children's books as a way of searching for good clear illustrations

hello twiglett didnt know you made T-shirts, could you design a couple for me?? how much do you charge?? i want some for ds is is autistic the kind i want cant find anywhere something with a funny monster on saying im not a monster and on the back saying im autistic, to raise a bit of awerness and so people will know hes not naughty, all the ones ive seen are really boring and ds will only wear t-shirts with pics on them

Twiglett · 29/06/2006 12:22

hey redbull

I'm sorry cos they're hand-painted, lettering doesn't work so well...

BUT

if you can get it printed with the words you want (google design a t-shirt there's loads of online sites or places like pront-a-print can do them .. think they tend to charge about £10) and then send them to me I'll happily paint you some monsters if you like

... BUT these places should be able to put monsters on for you too .. if you can find a picture

cheers twiglett

Redbull - Tesco do Iron on transfer paper for about a fiver. Why don't you do the words on your PC and iron them on?

Twiglett · 30/06/2006 19:16

does it work well though .. or does it peel off .. I'm a bit nervous of those iron on transfers .. I know Dylon do them too .. anyone used them?

My two are the proud owners of two very special Twiglett Dalek t-shirts!

They are really brilliant and my boys think they are very "cool".
