HELP with knitting pattern, what am I not getting? Or is the pattern wrong?

ok, I have 122 stitches, and now have a decrease row, which reads like this :- K4 [skpo, k14, k2tog, k6 ] 4 times, skpo, k14, k2tog, k4.
but it doesn't seem to add up to the right number of stitches for the row? I have stitches left over, but can't work out if I have done something wrong, or if the pattern isn't correct. I've done various mathematical workings out and I cannot get it to make sense.

Pattern looks alright to me.

4+(24x4)+2+14+2+4=122

I seem to make it either 96 or 100 with the slipped stitches? so how many do you have left?

goodjambadjar · 20/09/2013 13:57

Oops, terrible x-post! I'll withdraw gracefully! Smile

nettie- that does add up! How on earth have I gone wrong then? I have started unpicking the row now but I had seven or eight stitches left...Maybe I was reading the instructions for the row below. I have excluded the other size choices in my summing up above, so perhaps I misread it. I'll start again and see what happens, thanks for the help.
oh and goodjambadjar, I clearly couldn't add it up either, and I am usually rather good at maths, honest!

I tried again, and it is fine now. I think I may have mixed up the repeat. Thanks for the help, I loathe unpicking knitting.
