Making dolls house furniture

We bought d a dolls house and it has some furniture odds and sods from a job lot I got on eBay. I don't want to buy more because it's a great thing people can get her for bdays and Christmas without taking up more room in our small house. But I did say we could make some together. I'm not great at crafts but any idea how to make good beds for the dolls house just using things I may have round the house? We're using happyland figures for the dolls so they are to fit them.

Dd is nearly 3 btw

matchboxes with fabric scraps glued on?

I thought of that but too small

even the big boxes?

Ah the request has now changed to bunk beds. Have found suitable boxes now have to work out how to put one on top of the other. Any ideas?

Make each bed and perhaps use lolly sticks (one stuck on each corner of the bottom bed) to support the top bunk ....

Other useful bits for furniture are: plastic tops from furniture polish, empty cotton reels, pizza plastic separators, cocktail sticks, straws etc etc

Do not ever throw away a toilet roll holder again!
Dd is making a dolls house atm (she is 8) and going through toilet til holders like nobodies business. I may take out some shares in andrex! This is in addition to the dolls house Santa brought two years ago and the dolls house my nan's partner made for me as a little girl in the image of their house so why we need another one I don't know! Mum mum has been ferrying her to various wallpaper and carpet shops to get samples and has cross stitched rugs for her. It is an epic task!
