Not been around much recently.Sad

TBH I have been rather low, everything getting on top of me and it's seems one hurdle after another with Amelia and my mum.

Not been very creative at all. Blush I feel that hopefully I am coming out from under my shell again soon, got some of the rotten jobs done to help shed this big black cloud that constantly looms overhead. Completed our tax credits, got most of my paperwork up to date and this week I have started the ball rolling with Amelia's statement!!Shock

I have had 2 very heavy going appointments today follwoed by another unsucessful trip to the opticians. I have shed quite some tears today. In the next few days I have yet another heavy appointment re; statementing and a trip to the hopital for Amelia thyroid check ( I hate this!!)
Then I need to face the school and see what's in store for her in September when she starts in Reception.

On a much more positive note Mr Postie has delivered an absolutely fab design team goodie box from JM at LCC. Can't wait to play now, get some creativity going...if I can remember where I left it!Grin

Hi Dingle Smile, sorry you've not had much fun lately - you need a good craft session to pick you up again. Just think of all that pretty paper to play with Envy!
Come on - wow us with your lovely cards !

layla · 14/06/2006 14:21

Dingle · 14/06/2006 15:53

Thanks girls!!! Feeling a bit better in myself today. My mum is due for another op tomorrow so that is playing on my mind but I have had an appointment free day!!Shock Not done much with it, but when Amelia was at nursery this morning I did make a card!!!ShockAdmittedly it was an "easy, cheat type card" IYKWIM!

Can't seem to get motivated when I have a the opportunity to craft.

Trying to be strong this morning but have come back from the school run and I am ready to burst with despair and anger.

Wooried about my mum today of all days the school have completed Amelia's In school Review Meeting record sheet and returned a copy to me. Earlier in the week I sent a letter to the LEA requesting Stat.assessment. Sent a copy of this letter into the school asking for a copy of Amelia's school records (which I am legally entited to!)
On the ISR record sheet they have written that they acknowledge my letter but feel unable to support my request at this moment as they are meeting her needs and can see signs of progress.!!!! FFS!!!!!! I have fallen at the first hurdle. Got a meeting with a parenting organisation tomorrow morning and meeting with the SENCO the 3rd July!!!

How can I feel creative with all this crap in my head!!!Angry

Felt angry until I read this, then the words here made me cry, then your link Californifrau made me smile. Shame it's only a dream that will never be a reality !!!

Sorry ladies,, really need to vent, shout perhaps kick the cat!!LOL!!

I will re-post this over in the SN section too, sorry I know it isn't an A&C matter, but you are the ones that I chat to most!!!

Hi Dingle, really sorry to read this Sad. I guess you're about a fortnight ahead of us with statementing, have to send the letter probably Monday. Been getting on top of me also tbh, but I have the school onmy side as they say they cannot teach Sam any longer. Exactly that 'I don't have time to teach Sam'.

So if you want a winge about the whole crap set up, e-mail me peaches and cream 04 at bt internet dot com. Or CAT me.

Also not being creative, just can't get my head around it. Been ill for ages (thought I might have been pg, not but am strangely Sad).

Crap isn't it. The kids have no say in their needs, are full of their own potential. We do everything we can and end up treated like the enemies. Sad.

Dingle · 15/06/2006 19:17

Thanks Peachy, I might take you up on that at some time!!Wink

Spent all my moring on the phone, that is time I like to try to spend crafting as it's Amelia free!
Spent quite some time talking to the DSA and then printed off loads of literature to support my fight. Feeling a bit more positive about it now, it may be a fight but it's a fight will be worth while.

Had a few drinkies while cheering on England with hubby, ordered in a take away curry and I am settling down with some easy crafting for the evening.

Thanks again for the support.

Sorry to hear you have had a bum day Dingle & it sounds as if Peachy is having a hard time too Sad Hope you both get things sorted favourably soon.

Can I just say to the 'scrappers' that the book in the link is absolutely stunning! I am still resisting having a go at scrapbooking Wink I'm sure its only a matter of time tho

Dingle · 15/06/2006 20:24

WEll whizzz hunny you have at least got me talking craft mode!!!

Scrapping doesn't have to be so specialist IYKWIM. Get yourself a sheet of A4 card and off you go. CJs don't have to stick to the "acid/lignin free" rule- so just create.

Start with a copy of copies of your fav pics and see where it takes you. Start with a smaller LO and it will be just like making a large personalised card.

I haven't done that many LOs yet. I made my first ones for JMs gallery, and I also did a few on LCCs Cyber crop- a great way of starting off.
Apart from that I have only done the CJ here and I am part way through another CJ. I know I am by no means experienced but what I will say is that it is so great to do something for ME and not give it away!!!Wink

Right craft mode switched back off and gone into sulk mode!!! Grin

Dingle - sorry to hear that you're having a bad time at the mo. I don't understand any of the statementing stuff, but I know how things can feel like they are all on your shoulders. I'm low at the moment too, and have lost the will to make any cards. I really hope you feel brighter soon. x

Layla - I was thinking of you the other day. Nice to see that you still are around.
