Trying to recreate Big Brother Diary room...

Any ideas on how I can do it with strict time and budget restraints? There is a very valid reason for it, which I won't bore you with but I need to do it before Friday!

I've got limited supplies of plain paper, paints, some fabric and fabric pens and everything else you might expect to find. It needs to look totally fab but take NO effort Grin

(I'm not doing it to change my living room to watch it in, honestly!)

use cushions / foam to pad out an ordinary arm chair & stretch over gold fabric. Surround chair with painted black card/paper ??

you won't bore me! What are you doing it for?

Hayls · 12/06/2006 19:08

Cheers for that, I'm pretty hopeless really! Think I can get some gold fabric from somewhere...
Here is the boring part- I'm very close to qualifying as a youth worker and need to do an extended piece of work with various evaluation techniques so I'm arranging a sleepover for 20 11-12 year olds Shock I'm going to have a BB diary room where they can go to leave confidential feedback or just have a laugh and it will also be hard evidence when I do my presentation (and will also give me a few minutes of video watching where I don't have to talk Grin ) I really want it to look so fab that they all want to go in!

All i have is a swivel office chair with a beige curtain behind it... (or shelves or the door)

There have been severa different styles of BB chair - maybe you just need to make something a bit glitzy & OTT rather than try & copy this years (may be easier !!)
Fairy lights may be a good idea to glam it up too ?

Hayls · 12/06/2006 19:13

You're right, it doesn't have to look like this year's chair. Just needs to be garish and bright I guess!

You can make the 'studded' effect by stapling fabric onto thick foam.

(we expect a photo when you've done it too !) Grin
