How to teach an 8 yr old to crochet?

I have no idea how to teach DS - he's very keen to learn but I find it hard to explain. I've googled & demonstrated but does anyone know of a good way to teach a child how to crochet? Or any good websites or books? TIA

Same way as anything else, break it into steps. Step 1, how to hold the yarn through your fingers. Show him, have him sit with you each with a hook and yarn. Step 2, how to move the right hand. Do each step till he gets it, no point in going forward till he knows. Eventually, he will make a short chain and then learn singles. A teddy's scarf is a good thing to start with. Just break it right down.
