Writing on pebbles?

Any pens that you can buy that you can write words/dates onto pebbles with & do you varnish over afterwards with something ?

2nd arts & crafts ? of the day - you can tell I have no idea & its holiday time !!!

I would imagine a Sharpie would work??? It depends on where you plan to use then...I wouldn't say varnish is essential but it will give you a different effect. HTHs. x

We have painted on stones with felt tips. Wax crayons and nail varnish. Acrylic paint.
