Kimono style top

Has anyone made a girls kimono style top? I am a novice but would like to give it a go and I'm not sure where to start, a tutorial/blog would be lovely but I haven't found one yet.

I love the habitual kimono, have made loads of them. In fact, it was the first thing I ever made. habitual.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/habitual_simplekimonov2.pdfIt has sizes from birth to 8.
