Hi there, Can anyone give me any advice on covering some panels in my DH's Campervan he wants them to be denim covered. Can I get any sort of adhesive to advoid making holes in material, he also wants some sort of wadding underneath to make it softer. Any advice will be more than gratefully received, as he has spent a fortune on the outside and I don't want to spoil the interior. Thanks Carol

You can get adhesive for book binding that would be suitable for this sort of thing but personally I'd use upholstery staples

Thanks for that pixiefish, but unfortunately the panels are made of plywood, and I think they are too thin to take staples.

if you take a panel and glue a piece of foam on top of it same size, then get your denim and start by using a staple gun at, imagine if the panel was a clock, 12 noon and 6 oclock, then do 9 oclock & 3 oclock, then continue to work your way round. A staple gun shouldn't come through thin ply, I have done it quite a few times. The trick is to stretch the fabric in the right places first. hth
