Taking photos of cards -advice needed!

As I'm about to spend another morning lying on my tummy in the garden attemping to take professional looking photos of my cards with a budget of zero, a cardboard box and a baby blanket, I thought I would pop on here for some advice, hints or tips first.

looks like I'd better put trousers on so I don't flash my knickers to the neighbours, then...

got no advice i am sorry apart from don't forget to put suncream on

That is good advice, actually, mom as I was rather pink on the shoulders after yesterday afternoons attempts :)

have you a scanner. i always scan my cards.

otherwise- in daylight but not direct sunlight. either stand above card asnd photo or stick to a wall with luetack and photo straight on

oh, also, you can crop later so don't worry bout getting it to size

Ah, I hadn't thought of scanning them, Pixiefish. That would work for the individual pics, but the group of 3 shot is proving tricky.
Blu tacking is a good idea - so far I have opened out a box to make a mini 'studio' and lined it with white material and a baby blanket, then propped the cards up against little boxes, to make a triangle shape, yet I'm still having problems with shadows, and the results just aren't quite right.
Very frustrating!

scan them and then use publisher to put them in your triangle and then save the image as a jpeg

Ahh..'publisher' and 'jpeg'- I think that will require dh's input. (well it's the least he can do after I've spent the last couple of days lying on my tummy on the lawn... )

Hang them on the washing line, just use one peg in a corner so the card hangs on an angle!

Betty, I took some this morning see tulip paint thread.

Firstly as it's a bright day make sure sun is behind you and do it in the shade, there is tons of natural light and they will come out fine. If you have one with non-shiny embellishments, you can do them in sunlight and it will highlight the shadows. HTH.
