Anyone made their own footmuff? Any ideas where to start? Tips or tricks?
Thanks

I did. Double fleece, longer at the back, zip up one side...

Was it hard? Did you do it yourself, no pattern?

I haven't personally, as I'm rubbish at arts and crafts, but I do know a few people who have.

They took all the measurements of the seat unit, chose their fabrics, warm fleeces obviously best, and used wadding in between for extra padding/warmth. and attached zips. Front part needs to be slightly shorter, but not too much.

It wasn't difficult - although I do know my way around a sewing machine and can work out the mechanics of getting the seams all on the inside and the zip in the right place. Mine was for a pretty basic pushchair (just a fabric sling effectively) so I didn't really have to worry about shape etc, just make it rectangular and about the right width, then once it was done I worked out where the straps for the fastenings would come through and edged slits in the double fleece with zig zag like a large button hole. I used a thick fleece so there was no need for extra wadding.
