Thinking of making some sandwich bags but wanting some food-safe water repellent fabric in uk. Any recommendations?

Oh I'm interested in this too! So hopping on board your thread OP....I want some bags or something to put my DCs sandwiches in as I feel wrong using throwaway bags which aren't environmentally friendly.....and tupperware takes up too much space!

Just had a google OP and a lot of people seem to just use cotton. I suppose that's not good if your sandwiches are very wet...with mayo etc but would be fine for my DC who generally just have a smidge of butter and some ham. You can wash them after all.

I think I've read somewhere that PUL fabric can be usedfor this, although I have no experience of using this.

No help on the fabric but just to mention paperchase sell small stacking plastic boxes that my children use for their packed lunches. Don't take up much room in the lunc boxes.
