I'm looking for a frame, 120cm by 45cm for a print I was given for my birthday and am having trouble finding one that isnt going to cost me the earth.

Does anyone have any ideas where I'd be able to get one from?

Could you get one made - our local arts and craft shop will make to order.

Other than that what about using a mount for the print and then buying an inexpensive standard sized frame from somewhere like Ikea?

The print is not far off those dimensions, so the frame has to be quite large!
I've had a look at getting one made but its looking at £100+ to fit it in

Does IKEA stock one? They go fairly big. If not framers will do one made to measure but you should be able to get it cheaper than you have been quoted...

have you got a local art group...pop in and find out who does their framing?

I just put those measurements in for a plain black frame and it came out at £40 ish.
