..... off ebay and the colours not quite right to match my dress.

Its a great hat and suits me, but was described as cream and looked cream in the pics, but in reality its a latte/dark beige colour.
Its made of sinamay(?) and has an open weave texture.

My question is: can I spray it a different colour and if so what with?

yes you can spray it with car spray paint or florists spray. Don't get it wet, as this will damage it and it will loose its shape. Spray light coats and it will work, although its may be easier to trim with feathers or flowers that coordinate. I bought my flowers from www.randallribbons.co.uk, its a millinery wholesaler and used by the industry. Good luck!
