Candle making , where do i start/what do i need

I have been wanting to make my own candles for years & have decided to get started .
So what do I need ?
Where do I get it from ?

Any tips would be very welcome TIA

At a kids activity thing I used to job to when I was at primary school, they melted down candle ends and coloured the wax with bits of old crayola wax crayons. Still have one of the candles so it can't have been too bad. Some kind of container with a hole for the wick to go through stuck down with masking tape. I remember yoghurt pots! I am sure someone who does it properly will be along soon! You can also buy starter kits from crafty shops/websites
