OK, this is 2 very random requests but hopefully you can help.

First one is, I'd like to decorate a photo frame for a friend as a birthday present. I want it to be quite colourful but I'm not sure what to stick to the frame, iyswim? I was thinking buttons, but don't know how to attach them? I've not bought said frame yet, going to hopefully do that on tomorrow or Tuesday.

Secondly, I'd like to make a scrapbook. I'm currently undertaking the challenge of losing around 5 stone in weight and would like a way to document the journey with pictures, writing etc. Looking for around an A4 scrapbook, with quite a few pages. Any suggestions?

Off with you to Hobbycraft to purchase a glue gun for the buttons and to have a look at their scrapbooking supplies. They are not always the cheapest though. The Range also do this kind of thing.

Oooh, we have a Range near us - no Hobbycraft sadly :(

I've just had a better idea for my friend though - she's recently been away on holiday with her 22 mo DS, and has lots of pictures. So I think I'm going to get 2 relatively cheap scrapbooks, and personalise one for her. I know what she likes so I could probably do a better job of that than the photo frame - although that is something I'd like to try at some point.

I'm moving house and I'm having a craft clear out. I don't do as much paper craft as I used to and I have loads of fancy paper that I no longer use. They are yours for the cost of the P&P if you want them.

I'd say go to hobbycraft and browse. Then buy your stuff online.

I decorated a photo frame for family members a couple of years back (diamond wedding anniversary). Bought some silvery paint and sandpaper, and rubbed a few of the very edges of the frame over with a candle first. Then painted. When it was dry, I did a little sanding to give it a slightly 'distressed look'. Then I glued a load of fake diamonds to it.

Scrapbooking is on my agenda but not yet got there. I will definitely be buying online though. Far more choice, and far cheaper.
