Opinions please re knitting

I posted on A&C pictures and while I had a couple of nice replies I do need some ideas/opinions.

I don't know what to use for a stem, I like the idea of tubing with pretty paper/card. Then ribbon maybe.

I'm thinking of doing another with more flower and turning them into a throwing bouquet.

I'm just experimenting with everything as I'm feeling inspired, but my skills/creativity end at knitting.

Do you have double pointed needles? I would recommend doing and icord. you could then use card or those bendy sticks you get from garden centres to stiffen it up.

Ps it's really really easy, don't be put off, it was one of the first things I learned to do after backs knitting.
