Coloured (real) leather fabric suppliers?

I'm really want to make a gift for a friend but all I can find is faux leather. She's into bright colours so I'm looking for pinks and bright greens and it needs to be soft enough to make a bag/purse. Can anyone help please?

Contact the lady at The Cambridge Satchel Company - she gets supplies from a leather factory in Hull - all manner of colours!

Theres a few places down Balls Pond Road in London, but I've got a bit of a blank on the name of the one I've used before - I think its might be Johnson's, but not sure, if you can get there they are all old style places & real Aladdin's caves of leather & accessories - but they might now sell online too

If you can't get there though, have you thought of buying a light colour & dying it yourself - its pretty easy & you can find the dyes online - also check eBay for leather skins
