megglevache · 19/05/2006 15:57

Ooh yes that would be right up his alley! I could send it to Jo Whiley she's always sniffing round him Grin

suzywong · 19/05/2006 16:17

Dave had a baby last month. Bless him, Did I ever mention I have had dinner with him ( me and a few others)?

Whizzz · 19/05/2006 16:31

Do you think we should ask MN for a 'Sizzix Addicts' topic Grin

Pixiefish · 19/05/2006 16:36

yep Whizzz. Although I'm more a Big Shot addict although I don't suppose I should mention that as it'll confuse everyone even more. Or shall we talk about Qk and accucut as well.

Q. How do you approach the creative process?

A. “I usually start a page by looking for a good layout – frequently with the help of Becky Higgins – that matches my photos and then I plug in my embellishments from there. I try to take a page slow. If the creative juices aren’t flowing, I will set it aside until I feel more inspired to work on that particular page. I sometimes have five or six layouts going at once that I organize in clear page protectors. Sometimes I will literally dream a solution to a page that I’ve been struggling with.

See, frightening ladies.

"Where else could a little 'ol housewife like me get to do and see so many great things?" chuckles Beverly Sizemore about her passion for scrapbooking.

For the former high school history teacher turned full-time "scrapbooker extraordinaire," crafting not only came naturally, but without any formal guidance or training. "

is she taking the piss saying she has no formal guidance or training?:o or is she just a sarcastic cow

fairyfly · 19/05/2006 17:05

" I have scrapbooking slumber parties at my house "

anyone else?

fairyfly · 19/05/2006 17:07

“I'm really focusing more now on emotion-based scrapbooking where my pages tend to show how I feel about the person or the feelings of the subject more than the event itself so it's more personal.”

Emotion based scrap booking, thats it, i have to stop looking at that site.

Whizzz · 19/05/2006 17:07

actually that is a bit scary - I don't do scrapbooking - it frightens me Grin

PinkKerPlink · 19/05/2006 17:09

on scrapbooker says:

I have a group of friends who get together at my house or at monthly crops. We even have t–shirts that say, ‘Crop Divas’ on them. I’m also real active in some online groups.”

honestly, I am shitting myself

Whizzz · 19/05/2006 17:12

Yeah - don't mess with the scrappers - they will gang up in a big crop and get you

fairyfly · 19/05/2006 17:26

mousiemousie · 19/05/2006 17:41

where is the best place to buy one from and how much are they, anyone know?

Whizzz · 19/05/2006 18:47

Probably EBay - thats where I got mine from - just search Sizzix in the Craft section to see whats on offer. Just watch P&P prices as they are heavy to post Smile

Be warned - once you start........

Pixiefish · 21/05/2006 22:08
