Granny square blanket

I've just started doing some squares but I haven't actually learnt to do squares in crochet yet so I'm just knitting some to start with and would like to have some knitted and some crocheted when I learn how to do that! Would that work? I can't really see why not but just thought I'd check. I'd be using the same wool for all and making all the squares the same size.

It would work very well indeed and is just how the Mumsnet Woolly Hug blankets are made, a real mix of squares, absolutely beautiful. Have a look here

Well done jayne and lovely to see you hear. Are you in Ravelry yet? They will teach you to do granny squares in no time at all.

Aw thanks for that link Rather, something for me to work towards joining in with.

Hey Dutchoma! I did join Ravelry but clearly need to explore it a bit further!

Thanks ... Have actually completed my first square for it today! It may take some time at this rate...
