Yep. I Make trousers, little hoodies, baby legwarmers out of knee socks etc. The best thing is that they don't have to be perfect Grin or have difficult things in like pleats or darts if you don't want.
Youtube tutorials are great.

Hi, can't link to youtube on my ipad (not figured out how yet!) but if you search for 'make baby clothes' there are lots. Sorry I couldn't be more constructive. The 'pants from an old tshirt' are my favourite.
