I fancy having a go at a patchwork bag

I don't have an artistic bone in my body, but do have an unexplained urge to create something.

I can sew a bit and I thought of a patchwork bag, something I could use to throw drinks and snacks etc in over the summer. Where is a good place to look for a pattern?

There must be something in the water as I just got a book on making bags out of the library (it's called chic bags they're not really!) . I thought I might be able to come up with something using the basic pattern, I've been doing an upholstery course and have plenty of scrap fabric left.
