I make beaded jewellery too but I am self taught (ie. I make it up as I go along )

I do a bit but again just a self-taught amateur. I do have some good sites for buying beads and findings in my favourites though...

They're all good in different ways, I'm afraid. Depends what kind of theoretical jewellery she would theoretically like to make. I guess the first one, bead addict is probably best overall, and it's got a fair bit of instructional stuff on it (hints and tips section).

What I did was to try and make versions of the kinds of necklaces I had that I liked (probably not your taste cos you're such a fusspot about style :o), so I bought some thin leather thonging stuff to start with. John Lewis does sort of starter bead kits and books usually, too.
