I am a newbie hooker and trying to learn a circle granny square ( I hope that makes sense) but it keeps curling and ruffling up, what am I doing wrong?
I have mastered the basic granny but I wan to learn some new patterns.

Which pattern are you using? Lots of squares need to be blocked (made damp and pinned out to the right shape and left to dry)

Thanks for replying. I no where I have gone wrong, I have way more stitches than needed, oops!

Ruffling is indeed often because you've got too many stitches on a row :)

Thanks, have managed to finish the square without much trouble!
