I really fancy this croc o thingy that you mentioned the other day. Have just had to buy a second silent setter cos i lost a piece of the first one so am running that risk again but not with the croco thing

Pixiefish · 27/05/2006 22:07

Just ha d alook at the video and realised it'd be a bit useless for doing 12 x 12. if you wanted to put eyelets near the middle.

Fab for altering tins and stuff though

champs · 28/05/2006 00:03

oh no!! do the manufactors sell spares parts?

The crop-a-dile looks fab!! I am really contemplating it.

the reach issue is a factor if you attach eyelets straight to your LO, I normally fix eyelets to items (tags, card etc) and then fix to LO. wouldn't reach the middle of a card either.....

the being able to go thru many stuff like chipboard and metal really appeals to me too.

Pixiefish · 28/05/2006 08:44

no spares for silent setter. Agree with you regarding the cropadile but i often use eyeletts to attach things to the middle of my LO's so would still need the silent setter (of which I have a spare Grin one with a piece missing Sad )

champs · 28/05/2006 22:45

yeah true!! shhhhhh!! I bidded on oneShockBlush

Pixiefish · 28/05/2006 22:53

shhhhhhhhhhhhhh............... I'm watching a couple lol

champs · 29/05/2006 01:02
Grin

there is a set consisting of a crop-a-dile and a MM tag maker and a whole load of metal tag thingies. I was soooo tempted. £34 plus around £6 postage

I decide that i'd get the CAD and then get the MMTM if i really wanted it later. seen it in The Range for a cheapish price. I am still deciding about it cos I'd have to buy the tag thingies. I use my sizzix circles for tags at mo.

Pixiefish · 29/05/2006 06:56

champs- save your money and just buy the tags on their own. you can use the sizzix to flatten them or even a knife. i bought some in Bolton and I put them through the Big Shot.

champs · 29/05/2006 14:28

yeah that's what I heard!!

may get a pack to test.

did ya bid??

champs · 06/06/2006 20:06

my crop-a-dile is here!!!!!!Grin

Pixiefish · 06/06/2006 20:51

What's it like then champs. I missed the auction and they're at nearly £25 now so may have to leave it for a while

Pixiefish · 06/06/2006 23:47

Couldn't flippin resist for long. Mrs Gadget here has ordered one from the states...

champs · 07/06/2006 00:35

haven't tried it yet! will have a play later.

you made me laff!! how much did you get it for?

It's really a substantial gadget so was happy to pay $9.50 postage as it works out to around £5ish and some UK stores charge that much for postage LOL.

Pixiefish · 07/06/2006 07:40

it worked out at about £23
