Shoulder strap onto oilcloth day bag help!

hi, I love my ck oilcloth daybag. But I don't love that it doesn't have a shoulder strap. Am thinking about getting someone (shoe man?) to put rivets + ring onto the two end pockets. Does anyone have other ideas, has anyone ever done something similar?

If you will you can change that as you want in fact, it is you who to have the bag on back, then you can decide to have any other movement on it, have a try, I think it is a worthwhile thing.
