Child's dress pattern help

DD wants to dress up as Daisy Dawson for World Book Day. Should be pretty simple, as to do the outfit on the cover of the book she is reading at the moment, it's just a plain red A-line short sleeved knee length dress. However, I can't find the right thing anywhere on the internet so I thought I would try to make it. I make curtains and blinds occasionally so I'm not a numpty with a sewing machine, but I've never made clothes. Can anyone suggest a good place to get a simple pattern? Here is a pic of the book cover: www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/v/steve-voake/daisy-dawson-is-on-her-way.htm. Thanks so much

Your link doesn't seem to exist.

I made a very simple sleeveless shift dress for my DDs here and can't imagine it'd be too tricky to add sleeves if you want to.

thanks for that, really useful, just the right shape. sorry about the link, not too good with the mac yet!

I think you would need a pattern if adding sleeves. A dress like that would need a pattern with a proper sleeve head and they aren't the easiest thing to make up.!

Thank you for that. I investigated drawing up a sleeve pattern last night and, needless to say, DD has gone into school in a dress without sleeves!
