Sewing machine

Having learnt how to crochet recently I have been given a sewing machine with table.. I have however no idea how to use it!

Does anybody have a book they can recommend that will give me a very basic step by step guide? Or any Internet resources? I can't even thread it at the mo!

Could you do a Google search for the machine's instruction manual using the make and model?

Thanks for responding. A friend came round today and we sorted it but then the top gear broke so it now needs fixing!
