Broken/used tiles

I'm after some random advice...

We moved into our house recently and inherited from the previous owner a black bin full of broken tiles. A whole variety of tiles, some are the little mosaic ones.

We don't really know what to do with them. Would they be useful for anyone crafty? Or should we just take them to the tip?

You could offer them on Freecycle. Someone on our local group was asking for broken tiles as she makes mosaics. She took a few of my old kitchen tiles which I was just going to throw away.
