In search of yoda coloured yarn...

!!!!... Can anyone suggest any possibilities? I'm looking on-line and I don't trust the colours... Preferably I need aran, but thicker DK would do too. It doesn't need to be fancy, acrylic is fine, as its for kids hats which will need washing.

Can anyone suggest anything? Hayfield Bonus is on my hit list, as are some of the style craft yarns (but I live in the middle of nowhere so seeing things in the flesh is difficult, and I'm dependant on the limited ranges in the local yarn shops)

How yoda-ish does it need to be? Is colour more important than the wearability of the yarn?

Hayfield Bonus is fine for this sort of thing - you realise it comes in gigantic balls bigger than a human head? Their lime colour looks sufficiently Yoda-esque to me.

Likewise the James C Brett in 79 looks reasonable - it's always worth having a look on a couple of different sites to see how the colours compare, though.

Just trying to get a pic comparing the Hayfield I'm doing right now with its Deramores pic so you can compare the accuracy of the colour.

Stylecraft DK in Meadow is a sludgy kind of pale olive green which looks kind of Yodaish I think.

Do not, under any circumstances, order Stylecraft "bright green" unless you are after a neon yoda that all but glows in the dark!

I've had a look at the hayfield bonus and it looks good - 400g balls aren't a problem - I've got 5 hats to make!

I like James Brett yarns so I'll try and track that one down too. A good excuse to go to Boyes and drool
